When we were last visited by Ofsted, we were recognized as a Good school. The inspectors noted that “staff are helpful, supportive and dedicated to getting the very best from their pupils” – this dedication starts now for the Class of 2031 (Year 7 in September 2026) and we are committed to providing an innovative transition programme for your child. Ofsted also stated that “pupils feel safe and secure in school”, which we know comes from a strong transition and the opportunities we create to develop relationships with students and families.

We know that this can be a challenging time for children, and we are keen to ensure that we support all students to make a smooth transition into secondary school. It is natural to be a little anxious about this important time, but we hope that the activities that we have planned will support your child as they prepare to become a Woodlands student.
