Dear parents & carers
Welcome to Woodlands Community College website
We hope that you are able to find the information that you need, quickly and easily.
We also hope that the website a useful introduction to us as a school – our Mission is “To develop well-rounded, successful and resilient citizens of the future, with an ambition for excellence, a respect for our diverse community and the intrinsic motivation to take responsibility for maximising their own success.”

We have a car park at Woodlands. During the day this is generally full due to staff parking.
We ask that parents drop students off using the drop-off lane in the mornings.
When collecting in the afternoons we ask that parents park on the tennis court at the top of the car park so that traffic can continue to flow around the car park freely.
Yes, the school has adequate bike parking facilities to the left hand side of the car park as you enter.
If the bike sheds are locked, please contact reception to recquest that they are opened.
We request that if you wish to meet with a member of staff that you call in advance to make an appointment.
Please understand that it may not always be possible to meet with a member of staff without making a prior appointment.
The school reports on the progress of students via parental applications, as well as parental communication and parent meetings.
Parents can also get involved by joining our parent forum and engaging in our parental surveys so that we can seek to improve.
Head to our Parent Voice page for more details.
Yes of course.
You can find a list of after school clubs and activities on our Extra-Curricular Programme Page.
Speak to your teachers for more information on these extra curricular activites.
Lost property is sent to reception, so it’s always best to either call in on 02380463303 or in person, however we recommend that students also try to retrace their steps to find items that they may have left behind.
We also recommend that valuable items are left at home and where possible items are labelled with student names.
The school has a team of trained first-aiders as well as a Welfare Officer, Mrs Joy who can administer first aid to pupils who are injured at school.
If the injury is significant we would inform parents and appropriate first aid would be given and of course any serious injury we would involve the medical services as soon as possible.
